Robinson hails Celtic board as ‘brilliant’ transfer business completed
Paul Robinson claims the Celtic board deserve credit for their role in a productive transfer window.
The former Tottenham stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the clubโs busy summer.
Celtic signed 12 players this summer as Ange Postecoglou overhauled a squad that massively disappointed last season.
The Hoops have also started the season strongly and have secured a place in the group stage of the Europa League.
Robinson insists some credit has to go to the Celtic board after they backed their new manager.
โThe board had to act, they had no option,โ Robinson told Football Insider assistant edit
โThey brought in a new manager they have taken a chance on and they had to back him.
โThey had no option but to back Postecoglou with funds and I think they have had a brilliant window.
โThe season has started well. Before the Rangers game they were unbeaten in six and they were playing penetrative, attacking, nice football.
โThe two games before that they won 6-0, it looks like times have changed.
โObviously the Rangers game is a disappointment but the way they have started the season is a real breath of fresh air.
โIt was a time of uncertainty. A lot of new players came in with a new manager who no one knew about.

โThe board deserve credit for backing him but the next step is longevity and whether it can be held over a season.
โThe early signs are promising. The way they are playing this year is night and day to last season.โ
