Robinson issues ‘big’ Michail Antonio verdict after West Ham injury news
Paul Robinson has claimed Gianluca Scamacca’s injury may provide Michail Antonio with “a massive opportunity” at West Ham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one said Antonio, 32, has struggled since the arrival of Scamacca in the summer.
West Ham resume their season at Arsenal on Boxing Day.

It has been reported by Irons insider ex-WHU Employee that Scamacca has developed a badly swollen ankle ahead of the game at the Emirates.
The Italy international is now a doubt for the game.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on West Ham’s striker situation, Robinson said: “It has been a tough time for Antonio.
“Scamacca ended the first half of the season as the first choice. He is a really good player and I think he will prove to be a great signing for West Ham in the long-run.
“It is difficult for Antonio to play second fiddle. I do not think he has relished having competition. Moyes has had to leave him out at times.

“If Scamacca is out, it presents a massive opportunity for Antonio and it makes Moyes’ job a lot easier. It is a real opportunity for Antonio. If he hits the ground running and gets a few goals he will be the main man again.
“I think Scamacca’s presence has effected his performances. If he is allowed a run of games he might be able to get back to his best though.”
