Robinson makes ‘dangerous’ Mohamed Salah claim after what he’s spotted at Liverpool

Paul Robinson has claimed Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez are already developing a strong understanding at Liverpool.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one has noticed “a cohesion between the two” in the first couple of Premier League fixtures.

Salah and Nunez combined twice in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Fulham on the opening day of the season (6 August).

The two forwards started Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Monday night.

They showed encouraging signs prior to Nunez being sent off for a head butt on Palace centre-back Joachim Andersen.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will be without Nunez for the next three Premier League fixtures – Man United, Bournemouth and Newcastle.

When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the relationship being built between Nunez and Salah, Robinson said: “There is a cohesion between the two.

“You can see in their interactions so far that they have a good understanding with one another.

“It is the complete opposite of Manchester United, [Jadon] Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo and just not on the same wave length. There was no structure.

“Regardless of who plays in that Liverpool front three, they will be dangerous.

“They have a cohesion and an understanding between the players. Nunez has settled into the front three almost immediately.”

Liverpool are currently 12th in the Premier League table.
