Robinson: This is when Conte could quit Tottenham after meeting revealed by Gold
Tottenham will back Antonio Conte this month amid fears he’ll walk if not supported in the transfer market, according to Paul Robinson.
The former White Hart Lane number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said lessons have been learnt from the Mauricio Pochettino era in north London.
Spurs are yet to sign any players in the January window.

Football.London‘s Alasdair Gold claimed (13 January) players fear Conte could walk if he’s not backed in this window.
However, a meeting last week between the Italian manager and the club’s hierarchy is said to have allayed such worries.
Robinson predicted Conte would walk at the beginning of September if not backed in the summer window.
“I don’t think he’ll walk midway through the season,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“He’s been given certain assurances by the board and the chairman that he will be allowed to do what he wants with the squad. If his expectations are not met then I can see him walking at the end of the summer window.
“I’m sure the club will back him though. The club have got the manager they have needed for a long time. You can see a huge improvement in performances and results. Why wouldn’t you back him?
“The club made that mistake with Pochettino. The club should have backed him but instead they have regressed up until this point now. Conte is taking the club in the right direction again.

“I cannot see there being an issue with funds. There is no way that he would leave the job now, at the end of January.
“There will be a conversation to be had at the end of the summer if promises haven’t been kept.”
