Moussa Dembele started instead of Leigh Griffiths, and the Hoops forward dominated the Gers backline, scoring and causing them problems throughout the game.
Craig Gordon also started in place of Scott Bain, and he justified his selection with two excellent saves from Alfredo Morelos.
