‘Rodgers out’, ‘The board have ruined this team’ – Celtic fans want Brendan Rodgers sacked

Celtic fans on social media have called for Brendan Rodgers to be sacked after their 1-1 draw with Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon.

The Glasgow giants remain top of the Scottish Premiership table after Saturday’s draw but dropped points on their trip to the Pittodrie Stadium.

They hold a six-point lead over arch-rivals Rangers in second place, but Philippe Clement’s side have two games in hand.

Rangers have the chance to close the gap at the top of the table when they face Livingston at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon (3 February).

Bojan Miovski opened the scoring for Aberdeen after a goalless first half before Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn levelled the scoreline to salvage a point.

The result brings an end to Celtic’s six-game winning run which included their 2-1 victory over Rangers in December.

Rodgers finds himself under pressure at Parkhead after another disappointing Champions League campaign this season, while they also surrendered their Scottish League Cup title to Rangers.

Celtic fans on social media hammered Rodgers and the Celtic board after their defeat, with several supporters calling for the 51-year-old to be sacked.

Celtic have a chance to extend their lead in the Premiership when they return to action with a trip to Hibernian on Wednesday (7 February).
