Rodrigo Bentancur: Three Tottenham stars ‘give me no confidence’ – pundit
Noel Whelan has slammed Tottenham midfielder’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Harry Winks and Rodrigo Bentancur.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Premier League striker said the trio lack creativity and do not give him “any confidence” when they play.
On Saturday, Spurs bounced back from defeat at Burnley with a 4-0 win over Leeds United.
Hojbjerg and Winks were given the nod to start by Antonio Conte at Elland Road following an injury to Bentancur.

When asked by Football Insider deputy editor Russell Edge for his thoughts on Tottenham’s midfield, Whelan said:
“There is not enough creativity in those three. They are all similar players. They are very side to side. Nobody dribbles with it.
“That is where they are missing a trick. They don’t have that creative midfield player who can link up with [Heung-min] Son and [Harry] Kane. That player who can find a pass.
“It seems very routine in that midfield. Nobody takes a chance. There is too much similarity between those three players. They do not give me any confidence.”

Hojbjerg has provided two assists in 23 Premier League appearances this season, while Winks has just one assist to his name in his 13 outings.
Bentancur is yet to grab an assist in his four league appearances since joining from Juventus in January.
In other news, Tottenham have been tipped by a pundit to sell their £25million-valued star to fund the signing of an ally for Bentancur.
