Rodrygo’s stance on Premier League move revealed after news he’s ‘unhappy’ at Real Madrid
Rodrygo is “unsettled” at Real Madrid and could become a prime target for Premier League clubs in the summer 2026 transfer window.
The frustrated forward is not unaccustomed to attention from England, and he may be bracing for a highly competitive summer in 2026 from Premier League teams for his signature.
Last summer, sources told Football Insider that Man City were interested in Rodrygo as Savinho‘s successor, yet ultimately they made a U-turn on the like-for-like Brazilian replacement.
Similarly, Rodrygo is on Tottenhams’s watchlist as they look to bolster their wide positions after a mixed start to the 2025-26 campaign.

Arsenal unlikely to push for Rodrygo right now as Premier League and European giants to swarm next summer
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, if the 24-year-old’s situation hasn’t improved under Xabi Alonso come next summer, he will be forced to seek a new challenge.
Mikel Arteta is monitoring the number 11’s Real Madrid status with sources telling Football Insider that Arsenal would have to pay up to £90million for Rodrygo.
This is certainly an eye-watering amount, but also a figure which matches the winger’s incredible quality and class.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast over what the future holds for the Brazil international, I explained: “If he’s unsettled and unhappy come next summer and looking to leave Real Madrid, there won’t be any shortage of takers for Rodrygo because he’s such a quality performer.

“He’s proved that at Real Madrid over the years as well. For Arsenal, probably right now, he’s maybe not a priority for them because they’re so well stocked.
“Especially if they get all their injured players back in attacking places as well. They’ve got Madueke to come back, Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Odegaard.
“So yeah, I think it won’t be a top priority for them, but if a player like Rodrygo becomes available, you can have all the top clubs across the Premier League in Europe who would be interested in the Brazilian.”
Endrick joins growing list of upset Brazilians at Real Madrid
Alonso’s arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu has seen explosive and talented Brazilians seemingly pushed to the side, forcing them to potentially consider playing their football in England.

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Man United are monitoring Endrick’s situation at Real Madrid.
The 19-year-old has seen just 11 minutes of action this campaign as he drastically explores a short-term loan to give him a fighting chance of featuring in Carlo Ancelotti’s World Cup squad.
West Ham had been the frontrunners for Endrick, but their lack of European prestige concerned the youthful striker who is currently preferring a move to Lyon.
