Ronaldo among four Man United stars to blame for rot amid Times dressing room reveal – pundit
Alan Hutton has ripped into the Manchester United attack for not pulling their weight in Sunday’s 5-0 defeat to Liverpool.
The former Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the four attack-minded stars let Ole Gunnar Solskjaer down with their lack of effort.
As reported by the Times (25th October), several senior players have lost faith in the manager and question his tactical ability and nous.

Certain members of the dressing room reportedly do not believe Solskjaer has what it takes to compete with the Premier League’s best bosses.
However, it is said the players still respect and like the 48-year-old as an individual.
Solskjaer started Cristiano Ronaldo, Mason Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford in attack against Liverpool.
Hutton insisted the quartet failed to pull their weight to make the manager’s tactics work.
Huttn told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I see the tactics being a problem.
“They were so open against Liverpool and Leicester, they were basically playing a 4-2-4. The forward four players don’t really run back and help out.
“You look at the Atalanta game when they went 2-0 down. I said then that if that was Liverpool, they’d be out of sight and it happened.
“For Manchester United, they need to get back to basics. How are they going to play, what style are they trying to play? They need to be aggressive in pressing as a team. I think that’s what they’re missing.
“Of course they’ve got talented players, they’ve got stars everywhere, but they need to work as a unit. I think that’s where they’re letting themselves down at the moment.

“The front four aren’t really working that hard so you’re getting left exposed through the middle.
“It’s difficult for the two midfielders, whoever they may be. They’re taking a lot of flak but they’re having to cover a lot of space in midfield.”
