Rrahmani to Rangers: Lennon backed by expert to block deal
Rangers will struggle to sign Rapid Bucharest striker Albion Rrahmani this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton admitted that Neil Lennon might not want to give his former rivals a “leg up.”
Lennon has a longstanding history with Celtic, which is something Hutton thinks could factor into any potential transfer.
The 23-year-old caught people’s attention last season after scoring 19 goals in 30 matches.

Another big problem that the Gers might have in getting this deal done is the financial aspect.
“We know his background and everything that goes along with him,” Hutton said to Football Insider.
“I don’t think Neil Lennon will want to lose him.
“He’s spoken about the situation, it’s going to be difficult to keep him, he’s obviously a top striker, he can score goals.
“He probably won’t want him to go to Rangers; I know he’s been heavily linked with them, but I don’t think he will want to give them a leg up.

“We will see how it develops, but you never know.
“In football, these kind of things they normally kind of get tangled with each other, and then something comes out the end of it so we will wait and see.”
