Ruben Amorim sack verdict issued amid ‘dressing room mutiny’
Ruben Amorim is coming under pressure at Man United and must turn results around quickly, according to their former chief scout.
Mick Brown, who spent over a decade at Old Trafford during the club’s most successful period and remains very well-connected there, exclusively told Football Insider that the boss is facing “serious questions” after a dismal run of form since his arrival.
Amorim’s refusal to adapt to his squad’s limitations have raised red flags, while they have won just four of their 14 Premier League games since his arrival.
United have now dropped as low as 15th in the league table, falling below Everton and Crystal Palace, and are 15 points away from fourth-placed Man City.
There has been an acceptance that the boss has entered a difficult situation at Old Trafford, with many giving him room to implement his ideas and help the players adapt.
However, Brown has explained that he should now have had enough time to do so, and a failure to prove he is the right man to turn things around could see the pressure on his position grow.
Sections of the fanbase have also begun to turn on him, while Football Insider shared reports that the Man United players are beginning to lose faith in Amorim’s ability to lead them.

Ruben Amorim running out of excuses as Man United pressure mounts
Brown previously told Football Insider that Amorim has broken the “golden rule” at Man United by publicly criticising his players in controversial press comments.
Now, the former scout, who has a wealth of experience working closely with elite managers including Sir Alex Ferguson and Ron Atkinson at Old Trafford, has insisted that something has to change if he wants to solidify his position as manager.
“I think Amorim is going to be under pressure before too long,” he told Football Insider.
“I can understand that when he came in, he had a few key players who were injured and was coming into a club he didn’t really know, so he had to find out about the way things work.
“But he’s had plenty of time to do that now.
“You’ve got to find a system that suits the players, not the other way around.
“If your players can’t play in a certain way, you have to find a way of playing that does suit them.
“You can’t keep forcing them to do jobs they’re not capable of and then acting surprised when things aren’t working and you keep losing games.
“You stand or fall by your decisions at this level, and if things aren’t working, we know what usually happens.
“There are questions mounting about the manager now.
“It’s okay saying ‘this is a hard job’ – managing at the top level, and especially at Manchester United, has always been a hard job.
“It’s a huge responsibility and there’s a lot of pressure on you.
“There’s only so far these excuses go, I’m afraid, before serious questions will be asked.
“At the moment, there’s a degree of understanding and some goodwill towards him, but he needs to show some evidence that he’s the man to turn things around.”

INEOS slammed for controversial Man United decisions
Frustrations surrounding Man United are continuing to grow, with the on-pitch failings largely outweighed by continued controversies behind the scenes.
Brown told Football Insider on 19 February that there has been “total mismanagement” by INEOS at the top of the club, with further problems set to emerge in due course.
This comes after reports claimed a further 200 staff could soon be laid off, following the 250 sacked last year upon the new part-owners’ arrival.
Those cost-cutting decisions, alongside ticket price hikes, have been roundly criticised both within and outside of Man United, as tensions are now beginning to boil over.
