Ryan Kent could be about to quit Rangers amid ‘big’ claim – expert
Alan Hutton is worried Ryan Kent could follow Alfredo Morelos out the door at Rangers this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers defender said Kent was the one player he always thought would stay but now he is not sure.
Both players, along with five other first team stars, are out of contract in the summer and could walk away from Ibrox for free.
As quoted by the Daily Record (21 April), Light Blues Michael Beale previously stated that every player involved in the 5-2 win over St Mirren last month will be a Rangers player next season, apart from Morelos and Allan McGregor.
But after an uninspiring display in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic at the weekend (30 April), which saw him subbed at half time, Beale suggested that Kent and Morelos had potentially played their last games at Hampden.
When asked if Kent looked like a player who had given up in the 1-0 defeat to the Hoops, Hutton told Football Insider: “I thought about it, I think it is maybe a little bit unfair saying that.
“I do not think he was fit if I am totally honest.
“He has missed a few games and that was the first thing that came to me, these questions, is his head on it? Is he mentally there? And I just think he was not quite ready for the game but was willing to give it a go.
“The big question mark is will he stay? And the answer is I really do not know.

“Beale said not that long ago that everyone was staying bar Alfredo and McGregor, but now it has kind of changed.
“I have always said that I think Morelos will go and Kent will stay but now I am thinking they could both possibly go.“
