Ryan Sessegnon: Pundit gutted as Sky journalist delivers Tottenham injury update
Alan Hutton has insisted Tottenham are still to see the very best of Ryan Sessegnon after another injury setback against Everton on Monday.
The former Spurs defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted it is a “shame” to see the 21-year-old blighted with fitness problems.
As reported by Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas today (8 March), Sessegnon is to undergo scans on the hamstring injury picked up in the 5-0 win over Everton.

The journalist revealed Spurs fear the wing-back has suffered a recurrence of the injury which kept him out between December and January.
Hutton admitted Sessegnon needs “confidence” to deliver his best performances.
As such, he raised fears over what this latest setback could mean for the wing-back’s “momentum”.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “It’s a shame. Conte’s shown faith in him, I think that was his fifth league start in a row.
“He was starting to build up that momentum. To me, he looks like a confidence player. It looks like when everything is going well and the manager is happy, he plays well.
“If he maybe has a poor game he goes under the radar a little bit. I know he’s got all the attributes to make a great full-back. I played against him so I know what he’s all about.
“At that moment in his career, his confidence was sky-high. That’s when we saw the best of him. It just seems that every time he starts to get going, something pops up. A little muscle injury or a niggle or whatever.

“I don’t think he was having his best game ever last night before he went off, to be quite honest. That’s judging him against how well he can play.
“Hopefully it’s not too serious because I think the left wing-back position is still up for grabs.”
