‘Sacked immediately’ – Hibernian fans explode over David Gray latest
Hibernian suffered a shock Scottish Cup upset on Saturday as Scottish Championship outfit Dunfermline beat the Edinburgh side 1-0.
It was a woeful performance from the visitors, with a Miguel Chaiwa own goal in the 92nd minute proving enough to earn Dunfermline a place in the fifth round.
While there have been plenty of highs recently at Hibs, notably their Edinburgh derby victory, the defeat has proven to be a real low point in the campaign.
It now means Hibs will go another season without a trophy, with their last cup coming in 2016 when they beat Rangers to secure the Scottish Cup.
Now, fans have quickly turned on Gray in the wake of their Scottish Cup defeat.
Hibs fans demand that Gray is sacked after shock Scottish Cup defeat
Hibs have already endured a tough January. Kieron Bowie is consistently linked away from Easter Road after impressing in the Scottish Premiership.
On top of this, Football Insider has recently revealed that Josh Mulligan could be off to Leeds United, with the Peacocks scouting the midfielder.
This comes amid Hearts closing in on a Scottish Premiership title, something that will be a nightmare for many of the Easter Road faithful if the Jambos can pull it off.
Now, after the latest defeat, fans have had enough and have quickly turned on Gray for overseeing a defeat to a second-tier side in the Scottish Cup fourth round.

Many fans are furious with the lineup the manager put out, with Hibs making four changes from their 1-1 draw with Motherwell last weekend.
This is completely on Gray. Terrible team selection that point out completely the wrong message. Pathetic performance and horrendous result.

What has Gray said after the defeat?
Gray is under no illusions that Hibs were poor on Saturday.
The Edinburgh side were more than matched in every department by Dunfermline, with the manager’s tactics and lineup clearly not working.
The Scottish Cup was a real opportunity for Hibs to do something, with the Edinburgh side comfortably inside the top six before the split.
However, this has now been wasted, and Gray was quick to admit that Dunfermline went through in the Scottish Cup as deserved winners.

He told BBC Sport on 17 January: “I can’t stand here and say we fully deserved the win. I can talk about chances we missed and decisions, but it doesn’t really matter.
“The reality is we’re out of the cup and that’s not good enough for this football club.
“I mean that with the greatest respect to Dunfermline. Congratulations to them, I think they deserved to go through.”
