Yet to make his debut for the Gers, speed machine Atakayi has huge competition ahead of him at Rangers after Caixinha brought in Dalcio and Candeias.
The four-time Finland Under-18 international was signed by the Gers last year from Finnish second division side FF Jaro, and has been a regular member of Rangers’ second string.
However, 18-year-old Atakayi needs first-team football elsewhere to further his development instead of rivalling Caixinha’s first-team options.
