Scott Sinclair: This is what disappointed me during Celtic unbeaten run

Scott Sinclair has revealed that he and his Celtic team-mates were disappointed at drawing so many matches during the Hoops’ 69 match unbeaten domestic record.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have already dropped more points this season than they did during the entirety of last season and the English winger believes that was partly down to the desperation to keep the unbeaten record going.
The streak finally ended in a 4-0 defeat to Hearts in December.
“During the unbeaten run we drew some games we should have won”, Sinclair said, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
“The significance of the record meant that those kind of games were looked at in terms of us still being unbeaten.
“That doesn’t satisfy the desire of this team, though, because we want to win every match.
“Now that the record is set, if we get a draw against a team that we should be beating we’re disappointed and it feels like a loss.”
The unbeaten run lasted the entire year of 2017 and during that time the Bhoys won four domestic trophies and completed their first league campaign without defeat since the 1890s.
The Hoops haven’t played as well this season in comparison to last season, but they are still well clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, leading second placed Aberdeen by eight points and their old rivals Rangers by 11 points.
The last league match saw them draw 0-0 against Rangers at Celtic Park, in a game which either side could claim with some justification that could have won.
The Bhoys are soon to head off to Dubai for their winter break, before returning to domestic action against Brechin in the Scottish Cup on the 20th of January.
