Scott Wright backed to complete Rangers move amid ‘massive’ new signing claim – expert
Alan Hutton has suggested Scott Wright could be one of the players to leave Rangers in the summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers defender insisted that the summer window will be “massive” for the Glasgow club.
Last week (27 February), this site revealed that the Light Blues are willing to listen to offers for the 25-year-old as they prepare for an overhaul of their attack at the end of the season.
Michael Beale’s side knocked back interest from English championship clubs in January as Wright is viewed as a valuable player in the squad.
His current contract runs until 2025 but the Gers are now ready to listen to formal offers for the winger this summer.
Rangers could also lose both Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos from their attack in the summer when both of their contracts expire.
Hutton suggested Wright could be one of the players out the door at the end of the season.
“I think there is definitely a question mark over him,” he told Football Insider.
“He has been used a lot as an impact sub and at times he has done well. I think he needs to do more. He has got the ability but he needs to do it on a consisted basis.

“So it would not surprise me if the manager is looking at different options. He will want to put his own stamp on the team as well.
“There is going to be a big turnaround I think. The summer is massive for Rangers with some of the boys that are out of contract, the likes of Allan McGregor potentially retiring. There is a big recruitment drive coming up.“
