Scottish pundit suggests Celtic have three new signings lined up amid Edouard latest
Alan Hutton has suggested Celtic have three new strikers lined up to replace Odsonne Edouard amid transfer talks with Brighton.
The former Scotland defender speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the Bhoys would look to sign a new striker “quickly” with funds raised from the 23-year-old’s sale.
Football Insider revealed on August 5th Brighton are in talks to sign the French hitman and the latest from a club source today is talks are ongoing.
As quoted by the Daily Record (August 7th), Ange Postecoglou insisted Celtic were “ready” if Edouard were to leave the club.
As detailed by this site on Tuesday (August 10th), one striker on the Hoops’ shortlist is Leuven’s Thomas Henry.
However, Hutton suggested the Bhoys would have at least two more targets in their sights.

Asked if he thought Celtic had Edouard’s replacement lined up, Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “Definitely.
“It just looks to me, over pre-season, Ajeti did get a lot of time, Leigh Griffiths not so much. Maybe Ange Postecoglou doesn’t fancy them at the moment.
“If you lose someone with the quality of Odsonne Edouard, you have to have a replacement lined up. It’s as simple as that.
“They’ll probably have an A, B and C target lined up, if I’m honest, three potential signings in the pipeline.
“They’re going to be bringing in £18-20million for Edouard so you’d like to think they’re going to quickly reinvest that.
“The season’s already got underway so that they want to hit the ground running.”
Edouard is into the final year of his contract at Parkhead.
However, he has still played in all five of the Bhoys’ fixtures across all competitions this term.
