Scout report: Three Bolton players that can derail Leeds including proven Championship goalscorer

Adam Armstrong

Signed on loan from Premier League new boys Newcastle, speed machine Armstrong starred for Barnsley last season as Paul Heckingbottom’s side defied the odds to finish in the top half of the table.

The 20-year-old has both an eye for goal and creative nous that is proven in England’s second tier, after scoring six goals and laying on four assists for the Tykes despite being used mainly as a super-sub.

Now, Armstrong is likely to start and worry both Liam Cooper and Matthew Pennington at the back.

In other Leeds news, fans have urged Christiansen to start this 25-year-old newbie.
