Steve Bruce will be looking for his Aston Villa side to get their Championship promotion hunt off with a bang by beating former side Hull City at Villa Park on Saturday evening.
Villa play host to Leonid Slutsky’s side as they look to begin their 2017-18 campaign with three points, but will face a difficult test from the relegated Premier League side.
Bruce is expected to push his Midlands giants towards the top of the Championship table after bringing in the likes of John Terry, Glenn Whelan and Ahmed El-Mohamady.
The former Hull and Sunderland manager has already secured promotion from the second tier of English four times in his career, and is expected to be in with a shout of doing it a fifth time.
