Sean Dyche green lights Nottingham Forest exits as major transfer conversation revealed

Sean Dyche is already making moves to alter the squad at Nottingham Forest ahead of the January transfer window.

The former Everton and Burnley boss is still in the early stages of his time at the helm at the City Ground, but he is already leading his team on a four-match unbeaten run.

Nottingham Forest demolished Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield on Saturday, in what was undoubtedly their most impressive result so far under their new boss.

Dyche appears keen to mould the squad into his image in the winter window, and he has already sanctioned some potential departures for when the window opens up.

Sean Dyche sanctions Nottingham Forest loan exits

Former Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Borson recently told Football Insider that Elliot Anderson’s agents are “very busy” amid the latest Forest exit links.

The England international is continuing to attract plenty of attention from the likes of Manchester United and Newcastle, and an exit could seemingly be possible in January if any of the potential suitors wish to pay the £100million asking price.

However, the 23-year-old may not be the only player to leave the City Ground this winter, with Dyche happy to facilitate loan exits for some of the club’s younger players.

Forest’s U21 side face Forest Green Rovers in the National League Cup on Tuesday night, and their boss Robbie Savage has revealed that he has already had a conversation with Dyche regarding the possibility of moves for any promising starlets.

“I spoke to Sean (Dyche) yesterday,” Savage told Forest Green’s media team.

“I get on well with him, and I spoke to him for 10 minutes on the phone. If we spot a youngster who we think can benefit us and benefit them and their club with a loan, then it is a great opportunity for us to assess other players.

“I already spoke to Dychey, saying, ‘If we recognise any of your players, can you help us in the loan market?’ And he said ‘Yes’.”

Dyche may also allow loan exits for first-team players

Dyche has already had a big impact at Forest since his appointment at the end of October, and the loan market may be a valuable option for him to try and move on some of the first-team squad as well.

Young defender Jair Cunha is an obvious candidate for a loan stint elsewhere, given that he has made just one appearance in the Premier League so far this term, while the likes of Dilane Bakwa and Omari Hutchinson have also been starved of football at times.

Zach Abbott has also found himself on the fringes of the first-team squad at times, but the possibility of a loan move to League One or the Championship may be viewed as more beneficial than U21 football in the second half of the campaign.

Dyche will likely have no shortage of resources made available to him by owner Evangelos Marinakis, but the opportunity to trim his squad a little may still appeal.
