Sean Dyche must exploit obvious weakness as Liverpool dealt new blow vs Nottingham Forest

Sean Dyche might already have the key to victory before Nottingham Forest travel to Anfield to face Liverpool.

Forest remain without Chris Wood, Douglas Luiz, and Ola Aina, as well as Oleksandr Zinchenko and Dilane Bakwa, but the visitors will be hopeful of a positive result anyway on Saturday, 22 November.

The Tricky Trees are not the only team suffering from injuries, with Arne Slot confirming blows to Florian Wirtz and Conor Bradley, though Alisson could be close to a return soon.

Liverpool are trying to get themselves back into the Premier League title race, while Dyche is attempting to drag his team out of the relegation zone, so there is plenty of play for this weekend.

Callum Hudson-Odoi could return to the Nottingham Forest XI

Having not been involved since the 2-2 draw with Man United at the beginning of November, Callum Hudson-Odoi is “in contention” to feature at Anfield, much to the joy of the visiting fans.

In the last two campaigns, the former Chelsea winger has notched 13 goals and four assists, seeing him become an important member of Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side, alongside Anthony Elanga.

Of course, it has been much less exciting for the 25-year-old, with the Reds unexpectedly at the wrong end of the Premier League table, but his potential return would be a major boost.

It would be an even bigger boost after the news that Bradley will be sidelined for the next few weeks, and given that Jeremie Frimpong is already injured, Slot has been left with a lot of thinking to do.

Arne Slot should be worried about his right-back spot

Milos Kerkez has been under pressure from Liverpool fans ever since his arrival at Anfield, but it is now the opposite flank that could trouble the manager following a new blow to Bradley.

While Dominik Szoboszlai has been featuring out of position this season, the injury to Wirtz would suggest that the Hungarian star will be pulling the strings in the final third.

That would leave Joe Gomez as the likeliest figure to fill in at right-back, and if that were the case, Hudson-Odoi would have an absolute field day at Anfield.

The 28-year-old has started just six Premier League games since the start of last season, clearly not trusted by Slot, so he would be the obvious target for Forest to exploit should he start at the weekend.
