Sean Dyche sack update after Everton fan fury vs Brentford – Sky Sports

Everton have shown no signs of looking to extend Sean Dyche’s stay as manager past the end of his contract but he currently retains the full backing of Farhad Moshiri, according to Sky Sports.

The lack of negotiations over a new deal is largely attributed to the ongoing ownership transition, with expectations that the club will change hands within the next month after The Freidkin Group has brought a majority share. As a result, no managerial decisions are expected to be made until the new owners are in place.

This is after Football Insider revealed on Monday (18 November) that Dyche will face intense sack scrutiny over the Christmas period with a daunting run of fixtures lined up.

Despite speculation about Dyche’s position, reliable Toffees reporter Alan Myers says there also haven’t been any discussions towards replacing him once Dan Friedkin arrives, despite expectations that is the point when his job will be under serious threat.

Everton supporters are expected to be disappointed at the apparent lack of a sack threat, especially now the “strongly linked” Graham Potter reportedly among the favourites to take the Leicester job after Steve Cooper’s removal.

The Toffees currently sit 15th in the Premier League, just two points above the relegation zone, heightening the pressure on the manager and his staff. Everton drew 0-0 against Brentford at the weekend and have not scored in their last three games, failing to win any of their last four matches, with Myers accepting that any good will with the fans is now used up.

Dan Friedkin should sack Sean Dyche at Everton

Football Insider Opinion

The team has struggled to distance itself from the relegation battle, and with a daunting December fixture list on the horizon—featuring matches against Man United, Wolves, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, and Nottingham Forest—the situation is looking increasingly bleak.

With the pressure mounting and no sign of significant improvement under Dyche, it’s becoming clear that a change might be necessary to avoid further deterioration. The team’s failure to score in their last three matches and the inability to turn draws into wins leaves many questioning the Englishman’s approach.

Everton
Farhad Moshiri isn’t interested in sacking one last Everton manager.

The Toffees have been woeful in attack, with just 10 goals in 12 league games, making them the third-lowest scoring team in the Premier League. This stark contrast to their 2020-21 campaign—when Dominic Calvert-Lewin netted 16 league goals—underscores Dyche’s inability to get the best out of one of Everton’s key players.

Despite Calvert-Lewin’s potential to thrive as a focal point in attack, he has struggled to find consistent form under Dyche’s management netting just twice so far this season.

Defensively, Everton have been equally disappointing, sitting joint eighth for goals conceded. Several performances this season have been shocking, none more so than their 2-3 loss to Bournemouth, where at Goodison Park they squandered a two-goal lead. Such collapses highlight their lack of resilience and organisational flaws under Dyche’s leadership.
