‘Sell’, ‘Atrocious’ – West Ham fans slaughter Konstantinos Mavropanos after display in 1-0 loss to Bristol City

West Ham fans have slaughtered Konstantinos Mavropanos for his “atrocious” performance against Bristol City on Tuesday evening (16 January).

The Hammers suffered an FA Cup upset in their third-round replay against the Robins, and the Greek international played a huge role in the 1-0 defeat at Ashton Gate.

In the game’s opening few minutes, the centre-back attempted to pass the ball back to Lukasz Fabianski while under pressure from looming Bristol attackers.

However, his under-hit pass fell into the path of the lurking Tommy Conway, who shifted the ball past the goalkeeper and cooly slotted home the early winner in the third minute.

The summer signing has had a mixed start to life in Stratford since his reported £18million move from Stuttgart, including a costly error in their 1-1 draw to Crystal Palace in December.

The “liability” once again showed that he has a mistake in him against the Robins and is quickly losing the trust of the fanbase.

Supporters have taken to social media in response to his performance, and many West Ham fans have blamed the defeat on him.
