'I will personally drive him' – Celtic fans react as PL high-flyers reportedly ready £8m bid
Celtic supporters have taken to social media to react to rumours surrounding Jozo Simunovic’s future at Parkhead.
The centre-half has been linked with a move away from Glasgow, with the Scottish Sun reporting that Premier League high-flyers Burnley are set to bid £8million for the player.
Simunovic was part of the Celtic team which won the treble last season and signed a new contract earlier this year but has badly gone off the boil in recent weeks.
He lost his place to Kristoffer Ajer in the Hoops starting line-up after the 4-0 loss to Hearts and since then the Bhoys haven’t conceded a league goal.
The emergence of Ajer could be the reason why so many fans on social media would take the risk and sell the Bosnian international.
Here are some of the best reactions on Twitter to Simunovic’s possible departure:
Simunovic almost left Celtic in August 2016 to join Torino but the move collapsed at the last minute.
He established a partnership with Dedryck Boyata which was doing well at the start of this season, with the pair outstanding in the Hoops’ 3-0 win over Anderlecht.
Both players have regressed badly since then though, and it seems that if the price is right then Simunovic will be off to England.
