‘Sensational’ – What Coventry star did vs Charlton completely stunned Sky Sports
Mark McAdam loved Josh Eccles’ equaliser against Charlton on Saturday, as Coventry City beat the Addicks 3-1 to secure another three points in the Championship.
Coventry are looking to secure promotion to the Premier League this season, with Frank Lampard‘s side leading the way in the Championship.
The Sky Blues have lost just one of their 18 fixtures, and now hold a gargantuan 10-point lead over their closest challengers, Middlesbrough.
Lampard attracted interest from Rangers last month, but the Englishman is determined to lead his side to the top-flight.
Southampton also targeted Lampard following the departure of Will Still, but the former Chelsea midfielder is going nowhere.

Josh Eccles scores ‘sensational’ goal vs Charlton
Harvey Knibbs had put Charlton ahead in the 13th minute, finishing well after the Addicks’ set-piece had caused chaos. The visitors’ lead would not hold until half-time, however.
Eccles had scored just six goals in his 137 Championship appearances before Saturday’s game, but the Englishman was on hand at the right time to add his seventh.

After he was found on the edge of the box, the 25-year-old took a touch before placing a lovely strike into the far corner and beyond the reach of Thomas Kaminski.
The goal saw the tides shift completely, and Coventry would complete the turnaround before the break when Ellis Simms rose highest to nod home from a corner.
Speaking live on the game, McAdam told Sky Sports: “It’s really good play. The home side have dominated the ball – 77 per cent possession – and it’s good work down the left-hand side.
“Eventually they cut across the top of the box. The ball falls to Josh Eccles, and he’s calm in possession. It’s one of those, he looks at the bottom corner, he gets his body shape right and then he caresses it beautifully past the goalkeeper and into that bottom corner.
“It’s absolutely sensational, not a bad way to open your account for the season, and as you can hear from the CBS, finally the home side have a goal.”
Ellis Simms in fine form vs Charlton
Simms has hit a serious purple patch of form in recent weeks. The striker netted against West Brom last week, and bagged a brace in a brilliant win over Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
He would go on to score again against Charlton on Saturday, making it five goals in just three appearances for the 24-year-old.
Coventry continue to fire on all cylinders this season, with Simms and Eccles the stars from yet another superb performance.
Lampard’s side travel to Ipswich Town next week, where they can once again strengthen their early grip on promotion.
