Sergio Reguilon: Expert issues ‘big’ Tottenham claim after duo slammed by Neville
Sergio Reguilon “has a big chance” to cement his place in the Tottenham starting XI in the absence of Ryan Sessegnon, according to Paul Robinson.
The former White Hart Lane number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed Reguilon, 25, is “top class” and is better offensively than his counterpart.
Sessegnon missed Saturday’s 3-2 loss at Manchester United because of an injury suffered in Monday’s win over Everton.

As quoted by Football.London (10 March), Antonio Conte revealed the left-footer is expected to sidelined until April at the earliest.
Reguilon replaced Sessegnon in the starting XI at Old Trafford but produced an unconvincing display.
Speaking on Sky Sports, as quoted by Football.London (12 March), Gary Neville delivered a scathing review of Reguilon and Matt Doherty, claiming both are “nowhere near good enough.”
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of Spurs’ left wing-backs, Robinson said: “Spurs have strength in depth in that area.
“Reguilon has a chance now with Sessegnon out.
“I think Reguilon is a top-class player. He brings more to the side in an attacking sense and that is important when you play with wing-backs.
“Him and Sessegnon have got a battle on to nail down that left wing-back spot. Reguilon has a big chance to cement his place with Sessegnon being out and he has to take it.”

Reguilon has contributed two goals and three assists in 27 appearances across all competitions this season.
Sessegnon has one assist to his name in 15 games.
