£40,000-a-week player axed in seven changes: Celtic expected XI v Zenit
MIDFIELD
Scott Brown (Centre-midfield) – Expected to replace Tom Rogic, may be the most important player on the park for the Hoops, the captain keeps the side ticking and they are far worse when he isn’t in the team
Eboue Kouassi (Centre-midfield) – May well keep his place in the team after a stellar performance in the first leg against Zenit, a lot will be expected from the 20-year-old who has experience of playing in Russia
Olivier Ntcham (Centre-midfield) – Expected to replace Charly Musonda, it is vital that he recovers from illness to play in the game, can roam all over the pitch from box to box and both create and destroy to great effect. HLN has reported that Musonda is earning £40,000-a-week while on loan from Chelsea, but he could be axed.
Callum McGregor (Attacking-midfield) – Scored the all-important goal in the first leg, can support the striker at times but also fall back into midfield at times which could be key to stifling the Zenit attack
