Paddy Kenny tells Sheffield United to ‘sort it out’ after behind-the-scenes reveal
The new Sheffield United recruitment team must eliminate the “expensive flops” that have characterised recent years.
So says Blades icon Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the newest member of the transfer team at Bramall Lane.
As per Yorkshire Live on 6 September, United have appointed Pablo Perez as their new head of analysis.

The Spaniard worked alongside Slavisa Jokanovic’s assistant manager Chema Sanz in his previous role at Valencia.
His arrival comes after the previous head of analysis, Josh Kirk, joined Brentford to head up their renowned analysis team.
The Blades spent close to £110million on new recruits across the 2019-20 and 2020-21 campaigns.
Despite the investment, they amassed just 23 points as they were relegated from the top-flight last term.
And Kenny insists that the recruitment team must deliver under the Jokanovic regime.
“There has been a lot of expensive flops,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“I’m still hoping that Brewster can produce and get some goals. He is proving to be one of those expensive flops at the moment.
“But they definitely need to sort their recruitment out. They have spent a lot of money on players and they really haven’t produced yet.

“It’s good the management team have that relationship already there if they have worked together before.
“Maybe now they can have some time to get things right by the time January comes around and get a few players in.”
