Shocking strikers – the five worst forwards signed by Sullivan and Gold at West Ham
4. Mladen Petric
It’s difficult to understand the thought process behind the arrival of the Swiss-Croatian national who arrived at the club on a free as an unattached player.
The striker arrived with some good international pedigree having totalled 44 caps for Croatia and 12 goals.
But seemingly not good enough for anywhere else, he was good enough for the Hammers when they brought him to East London in January 2014.
Unsurprisingly, he made three substitute appearances which ended in three defeats for the Irons – another great move.
