Sorry Henrik, Parkhead hero misses out on No 1 spot in five greatest-ever Celtic players

5. BOBBY LENNOX

One of the legendary Lisbon Lions, Lennox’s time at the club lasted from 1961 to 1981, winning an incredible 11 league titles in the process, and a total of 24 major trophies overall.

The lightning quick striker scored 273 goals in his time with the Bhoys, putting him only behind Jimmy McGrory on the all time scorers’ list for the Bhoys, yet shockingly he only played 10 times for Scotland.

Lennox’s longevity at the club was truly remarkable and it was fitting that his last ever appearance for the Bhoys came in 1980, when he played a part in defeating Rangers in the Scottish Cup final.
