The incomparable ‘Jinky’ will go down as not only one of Celtic and Britain’s greatest ever players, but perhaps one of the finest ever to play the game.
The jinking winger spent 14 years with the Hoops winning nine league titles and was another of the legendary Lisbon Lions. His wing play in Lisbon terrified the Inter defence, and he was one of the main reasons the Hoops won the European Cup.
His legend will live on forever as generations of supporters pass down stories that they got to see the famous ‘Jinky’ play for Celtic.
