Sources: Aaron Pressley set to quit Brentford – Wycombe Wanderers and Barnsley lead race
Brentford striker Aaron Pressley is a target for a number of League One and League Two clubs this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Wycombe Wanderers, Barnsley, Cambridge United, Cheltenham Town, Stockport County and Sutton United are all chasing the Scotland Under-21 international.
The 21-year-old forward has slipped down the pecking order at Brentford and the Premier League club are happy to let him move on this summer on a permanent basis.
It is understood that Pressley is open to a transfer in order to increase his game time and progress his career.
The Aston Villa youth graduate joined Brentford in January 2020 and has made three senior professional appearances for the club.
First-team minutes have proved hard to come by since his move to London, with the Bees sending him out on loan to AFC Wimbledon in the 2021/22 campaign and Accrington Stanley for the second half of last season.
Pressley scored eight goals and notched one assist in 27 outings during his time at League One Accrington.

He also made 27 appearances in all competitions for Wimbledon, but scored just four and assisted once during a season hindered by a major hamstring injury.
Pressley has also shone in Brentford’s B side while waiting for first-team opportunities – he was voted the team’s Players’ Player of the Year in the 2020/21 season after topping the scoring charts with 19 goals in 26 appearances.
