Sources: Ange Postecoglou to be sacked if Nottingham Forest lose these matches
Ange Postecoglou is on the brink of being sacked as patience is wearing thin for Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Sources told Football Insider that Nottingham Forest have drawn up a shortlist of managers who can replace Postecoglou after a winless start to his tenure.
Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest managerial bid has unsettled Postecoglou as Marinakis contemplates his next bold step for who will lead the team to glory.
Fulham‘s Marco Silva is also being targeted for the Nottingham Forest job as the Australian continues to come under intense scrutiny.

Wins a non-negotiable for Postecoglou if he has any chance of keeping his Nottingham Forest job
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the former Tottenham boss must pick up points quickly or face the axe.
Former Man United and Sunderland chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider on 7 October that the Nottingham Forest squad are unhappy with Postecoglou since he arrived.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast over the pivotal next set of fixtures for the Australian, I explained: “It’s a key period for Ange Postecoglou.

“Things haven’t worked out as much as well as he probably expected. Seven games, no wins, just the two draws from those seven, a crucial period for him coming up.
“Massive game against Chelsea this coming weekend, things could quickly turn around if he was to get a win in that game. That could sort of ease the pressure on him.
“The big problem for Postecoglou is trying to win back those Nottingham Forest fans.
“That’s the big issue right now when they were singing ‘sacked in the morning’ after that European defeat as well. That wasn’t great for him.

“They’ve got Chelsea in the league [18 October], which is a tough game, but they get a result in that and things will look a lot better.
“Then they’ve got Porto at home in the Europa League, away to Bournemouth and then home to Manchester United.”
Morgan Gibbs-White regretting decision to stay at Nottingham Forest
During the summer, Nottingham Forest controversially blocked Tottenham’s pursuit of Morgan Gibbs-White.

The Englishman ended up signing an extended contract as the Garibaldi snubbed any advances from the Lilywhites.
Yet, with the club divided following disharmony between Marinakis and Nuno Espirito Santo, Gibbs-White is likely regretting not making the move to north London.
Postecoglou’s turbulent tenure has also not made things any easier for the ex-Wolves starlet as a place in Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad looks to be out of reach.
