Sources: Antonee Robinson agrees Fulham deal

Antonee Robinson has agreed to a new five-year deal with Fulham, sources have told Football Insider.

Robinson, 25, impressed for Fulham last season and was earning a reported wage of just £25,000-a-week.

He racked up 38 appearances across all competitions, notching one assist as the Cottagers consolidated their Premier League status with a 10th-place finish.

The left-back also starred for the US at the World Cup in Qatar – playing every minute before their elimination against the Netherlands in the Round of 16.

Robinson has managed 107 appearances across all competitions since joining the west London outfit from Wigan in 2020.

Fulham were not the only interested party as Eddie Howe also explored the opportunity to sign him for Newcastle this summer.

Football Insider first revealed Newcastle’s interest in Robinson back in February – with Eddie Howe targetting an attack-minded left-back option with more pace than Dan Burn.

It is believed that scouts regularly watched the 25-year-old during the 2022-23 season and had were extremely impressed with his performances.

It was also believed that Robinson would be enticed by the prospect of playing Champions League football – a feat which Newcastle managed to achieve last season.

Robinson, who started his career at Everton, was only under contract at Craven Cottage until June 2024, meaning he had one year remaining.

But with a new five-year deal agreed, it means the United States international will have a contract with the club until June 2028.
