Sources: Arsenal plan to block Ramsdale deal
Arsenal are set to block a potential January exit for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, sources have told Football Insider.
Ramsdale, 25, has been widely linked with a move to Chelsea in the new year as they look for a new shot-stopper.
Football Insider revealed as early as 11 November that Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino and his recruitment staff have identified goalkeeper as an area of the squad which needs improving ahead of the mid-season window.

However, a well-placed source has told Football Insider that Ramsdale is not likely to make the switch to Stamford Bridge in January.
The England international is frustrated with his situation at the Emirates Stadium after being replaced by David Raya as Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper.
It is believed Mikel Arteta is keen to keep two top-class shot-stoppers at the club and is also reluctant to strengthen a London rival by allowing Ramsdale to depart.
Raya has started 11 of the last 12 Premier League games and was only dropped when he was unable to play against his parent club Brentford.
Ramsdale, who signed a new contract in May keeping him at Arsenal until June 2026, has made nine appearances across all competitions this season – keeping three clean sheets.
The England international played all 38 Premier League games last term as Arteta’s side ran Man City close for the title.

He has made 87 appearances in all competitions since joining Arsenal from Sheffield United in 2021, keeping 32 clean sheets.
Arsenal sit top of the Premier League ahead of their next game against Liverpool on Saturday (23 December).
