Sources: Arsenal three-man shopping list revealed, £70m bid already tabled

Arsenal have drawn up a shortlist of three midfield targets for the upcoming summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The Gunners are keen to add a central midfielder to their squad and have identified Amadou Onana, Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice as their top three candidates.

The North London side are understood to be long-term admirers of Onana and Caicedo after having bids of £70million rejected for the Brighton star in January.

However, it is understood that West Ham captain Declan Rice is Arsenal’s top priority midfield target this summer.

Football Insider sources revealed on Friday (31 March) that Arsenal are ready to submit a stunning £100million bid for Rice this summer.

Arsenal are aware that they will face plenty of competition from Premier League rivals Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea for Rice’s signature, but believe they have a strong chance of luring the England international to The Emirates if they secure the league title this season.

It has been reported that Rice has turned down three contract offers at the London Stadium, with the Hammers offering the England international a deal worth as much as £83million.

Brighton are likely to also demand a huge fee for Caicedo should Arsenal turn their attention towards signing him this summer.

The 21-year-old signed a long-term deal last month amid interest from a number of clubs, with his new contract set to keep him with the Seagulls until 2027.

Onana could well be the cheaper of the three options, but the Toffees have also tied down the Belgian midfielder to a long-term contract following his move to Goodison Park last summer.

His availability could well be determined by whether Everton suffer relegation this season.
