Sources: Arsenal to finalise two box-office deals soon

Arsenal are confident of agreeing box-office new contracts for Bukayo Saka and William Saliba in the near future, sources have told Football Insider.

Gabriel Martinelli, 21, signed a fresh four-year deal at the Emirates Stadium in February following his dazzling form in the 2022-23 campaign.

And sources with knowledge of the situation have told Football Insider that Arsenal are close to following that agreement up with new terms for Saka and Saliba.

Both players are currently out of contract in June 2024, and can thus discuss a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from next January.

The duo have been instrumental for Mikel Arteta’s side this season in an unexpected challenge for the Premier League title.

Saka, who currently earns a reported wage of £70,000-a-week, has notched 14 goals and 11 assists in 45 goals across all competitions.

Man City have been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old amid the uncertainty over his contract situation.

Saliba earns a reported wage of £40,000-a-week and has starred in 33 appearances across all competitions, notching three goals and one assist.

The France international, who has finally made his mark at Arsenal this season after three years away on loan, has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Saliba has sat out the last eight Premier League games with a back injury – a period which has coincided with faltering form in the title run-in.
