Sources: Big update on Hodgson quitting Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson could become the next Premier League boss to leave his post, sources have told Football Insider.
Despite Palace’s stunning 2-2 draw away at Man City on Saturday (16 December), it is believed the veteran’s enthusiasm for the job has diminished.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Hodgson, 76, is disillusioned with several rule changes and the impact of VAR on Premier League football.

As a result, he could leave his post at Selhurst Park in the near future.
It is believed the ex-England boss will depart his boyhood club amicably and is not likely to be sacked by the Eagles’ owners.
Sources say the Croydon club have been waiting for Steve Cooper to become available before accelerating their plans.
The Welshman was sacked by Nottingham Forest on Tuesday (19 December) following a run of just one win in 13 Premier League games.
Hodgson has not won any of his last six games at the helm of Crystal Palace, who sit just above Forest in the Premier League’s form table over that time.
The 76-year-old has already confirmed he is “finished” with the club at the end of this season – but could now depart before the 2023-24 campaign concludes.
He returned to Selhurst Park at the end of last season to replace Patrick Vieira and stave off the threat of relegation and was handed a one-year contract in the off-season.

Hodgson has managed 191 total games at Palace over two spells, winning 64.
The Eagles are next in action against rivals Brighton on Thursday (21 December).
