Sources: Blackpool agree deal to sign Kylian Kouassi
Blackpool are poised to sign Sutton United forward Kylian Kouassi, sources have told Football Insider.
The Championship club are in the market for striking reinforcements after selling Jerry Yates to Swansea and they see Kouassi as a potential star in the making.
The terms of a deal are agreed with Sutton and the 20-year-old has settled terms with Blackpool.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday that Yates is joining Swansea in a part-exchange deal that will see Kyle Joseph heading the other way.
Kouassi has come through the ranks at Sutton and he scored four goals and laid on two assists last season.
The 20-year-old moved up to the senior side at Gander Green Lane in 2021 and spent his first full season on loan.
The striker has made 46 appearances for Sutton since his step up to the first team.
The League Two outfit have already added Harry Smith to their forward ranks that include, Hisham Kasimu, Tope Fadahunsi and Lee Angol.
Kasimu is yet to make an appearance for Matt Gray’s side after joining in January.
Sutton finished 14th in League Two last season, comfortably clear of the relegation zone but were on the lower end of goals scored in the competition.

Blackpool are also in need of reinforcements up front after being relegated from the Championship.
Neil Critchley’s side also had one of the lowest goals tally in the league, netting 48 goals in 46 games.
