Sources: Blackpool make approach to sign Tottenham star Harvey White
Blackpool have made an approach to sign Tottenham midfielder Harvey White, sources have told Football Insider.
The Championship club are among multiple EFL sides keen to take the 21-year-old on loan for the second half of the season.
White, who has come through the youth ranks at Tottenham, made his Premier League debut earlier this month (4 January) in the win at Crystal Palace.
Spurs have yet to make a decision on whether to let White go before the January deadline as he is currently on the fringes of Antonio Conte’s first-team plans.
He has made the bench under the Italian on a number of occasions this season, including for five of Spurs’ six Champions League group games.
White is also a fixture for Tottenham’s Under-21 side, registering one goal and one assist across 11 games in Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy action.
The midfielder’s only loan spell away from the club came in the 2020-21 season.
He joined League One Portsmouth for the second half of the campaign and made 22 appearances for the south coast club.
However, just six of those outings came from the start – including in the EFL Trophy final loss against Salford City at Wembley.
White is primarily a defensive midfielder but can also play further forward – as well as filling in at left-back.
Conte’s midfield is already packed with young talent – with Pape Matar Sarr and Oliver Skipp jostling for a first-team berth.

Tottenham sit fifth in the Premier League after two losses in a week against title-chasing duo Arsenal and Man City.
Meanwhile, 23rd-place Blackpool, who have just appointed Mick McCarthy, are three points from safety in the Championship as they prepare to face Huddersfield on Saturday (21 January).
