Sources: Borussia Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg and Marseille make approaches for Norwich City star Max Aarons

Borussia Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg and Marseille have enquired about signing Norwich City star Max Aarons, sources have told Football Insider.

The right-back’s future is up in the air going into the final five weeks of the summer transfer window.

Aarons has been linked with a potential £20million Norwich exit in previous years but speculation has gone quiet this summer.

The 22-year-old has amassed 165 appearances for the Canaries since making his debut in 2018 – scoring five goals and providing 15 more.

He played 35 games across all competitions last term as Norwich suffered another relegation from the Premier League.

The 17-cap England Under-21 star is out of contract at Carrow Road in June 2024.

Football Insider revealed earlier this year (29 April) that Premier League new boys Fulham were interested in a move for Aarons, who came through the youth ranks in Norfolk.

However, the Cottagers’ interest is yet to materialise and Norwich have reportedly accepted they will “do well” to fetch their previous asking price of £15million.

The full-back is eligible to switch international allegiances to Jamaica but has pledged his “full focus” to England, his place of birth.

Aarons, who has previously been linked with English giants Arsenal and Man United, could now turn his attention to moving abroad as he makes the next step in his fledgling career.

Marseille will play Champions League football next term after finishing runners-up to Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 last term.

Meanwhile, Gladbach and Wolfsburg are looking to bolster their respective rearguards after underwhelming mid-table finishes in the 2021-22 season.
