Sources: Bournemouth forward set to sign for Barrow

Bournemouth forward Mikael Ndjoli is set to join Barrow on a permanent deal, Football Insider understands.

The 22-year-old is out of contract with the south coast outfit at the end of the season.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider he is set to sign for the League Two outfit permanently.

Ndjoli moved to Bournemouth in 2016 after spells with Watford and Brentford’s academy but has not played for the first team.

He has enjoyed loan spells in Scotland with Kilmarnock and Motherwell as well as a spell in League One with Gillingham.

The forward scored eight goals in 51 games across the three spells with his most successful loan with Kilmarnock yielding five goals in 31 appearances, including four in his first five games.

Killie finished third in the Scottish Premiership that season behind Celtic and Rangers.

He played just twice for Motherwell in his most recent loan spell as last season’s Scottish Premiership was ended early because of coronavirus.

League Two newboys Barrow are also set to sign Burnley midfielder Mace Goodridge on loan until the end of the season.

They are bolstering their ranks as they look to avoid relegation in their first-ever season in League Two.

The Bluebirds have won just one of their last five league games and are currently just one place and two points above the relegation zone but have two games in hand over second-bottom Grimsby Town.

In other news, Everton have had a bid accepted for Joshua King and he is in talks over personal terms.
