Sources: Bournemouth set to recall Romain Faivre after exit deal agreed
Bournemouth are set to recall Romain Faivre from his loan at Lorient after agreeing to send David Brooks to Southampton, sources have told Football Insider.
Brooks is set to drop down to the Championship side on loan for the remainder of the season, which has motivated the Cherries to reinforce their attack this month by bringing Faivre back to the south coast.
As revealed by Football Insider (30 January), the 26-year-old is undergoing a medical with the Saints on Tuesday (30 January) ahead of the move.
Faivre is now in line to return to the Premier League side on the back of his successful loan spell in Ligue 1.
He has notched five goals and one assist across 17 appearances in the French top-flight, starting 16 of his outings.
The France under-21 international joined Bournemouth in the summer for a reported £12.8million from Lyon but was shipped straight back to Lorient, where he was on loan last season.
The 25-year-old has had spells across Ligue 1 clubs, including Brest and Monaco, and has been fielded as an attacking midfielder, a right winger and a right midfielder this season,
Brooks has not seen much action under Andoni Iraola this season, having played just 549 minutes across 18 appearances.
Despite his lack of game time, he has scored three goals and provided three assists in all competitions.

Bournemouth sit 12th in the Premier League following two consecutive defeats, most recently to Liverpool on Sunday 21 January.
They are next in action against West Ham at the London Stadium on Thursday evening (1 February).
