Sources: Bournemouth star Saydee in advanced talks over new deal

Bournemouth striker Christian Saydee is in advanced talks over a new contract, Football Insider understands.

The forward, 19, is highly regarded at the Championship club, who are keen to secure him on a new deal before his current agreement expires next summer.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Bournemouth want to agree an extension and then loan him out in January.

A number of League One and League Two clubs are keen on his signature.

Saydee’s contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.

The teenager has made four appearances, including two in the Championship, under Scott Parker this season.

He scored a goal and provided an assist on his debut after coming off the bench in the 5-0 win over MK Dons in the Carabao Cup at the end of July.

Parker told the Daily Echo after the game (31 July) he had been impressed by Saydee’s development over pre-season.

He spent last season on loan with non-league clubs Poole Town and Weymouth before returning to Bournemouth in February.

Despite his impressive start to the season, Saydee still remains down the pecking order behind the likes of Dominic Solanke.

Solanke has 16 Championship goals to his name this season – only Aleksandar Mitrovic and Ben Brereton Diaz have scored more.

Bournemouth sit in second in the division, two points behind league leaders Fulham and two points above Blackburn Rovers in third.

In other news, Watford and Queens Park Ranger have set their sights on signing a Bournemouth star.
