Sources: Brentford agree to sign Ben Krauhaus after eight offers submitted

Brentford have agreed a deal to sign Ben Krauhaus and he will undergo a medical on Monday (22 January), sources have told Football Insider.

The London club have beaten off interest from several Premier League and EFL clubs to land the Bromley attacker.

As many as eight offers have been tabled for Krauhaus this window, but Brentford have moved to steal a march on their rivals by agreeing a fee with Bromley for the talented teenager.

The 19-year-old winger, who can play on either side or in a central midfield position, has scored five goals in 29 matches in all competitions this season.

He will now undergo a medical ahead of joining Brentford on a permanent basis.

Wolves and Crystal Palace have both been linked with the teenager but Krahaus will head to west London to complete the formalities of a move to Thomas Frank’s side.

Despite his tender age, Krauhaus has emerged as a key player for experienced boss Andy Woodman – who has his Bromley side sitting second in the fifth tier.

He extended his contract at Bromley in November in what is believed to be a multi-year deal, but is already set to be snapped up by a Premier League side.

Krauhaus notched one goal in 11 appearances last term – his debut campaign at Bromley after coming through the club’s ranks.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank

Brentford recorded a vital 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday (20 January), with Ivan Toney’s return helping Frank’s side pick up three points.

The Bees are now 14th in the Premier League table – six points clear of the bottom three.
