Sources: Cardiff City ace Andy Rinomhota undergoing Rotherham medical after deal agreed

Cardiff City midfielder Andy Rinomhota is currently having a medical at Rotherham United ahead of a late move, sources have told Football Insider.

The 26-year-old has attracted interest from several Championship clubs after falling out of favour in Wales, but The Millers are set to win the race.

A loan agreement is in place between both clubs and the Zimbabwe international is currently undergoing a medical examination before the move is finalised.

As revealed by Football Insider, Huddersfield Town and Sheffield Wednesday were among a list of clubs targeting Rinomhota this transfer window.

Blackpool, Turkish side Goztepe and French clubs Amiens and Valenciennes were also in the hunt for his signature.

Rinomhota has made just seven appearances for the Bluebirds this season across all competitions, including just three in the Championship.

He started Cardiff’s season-opening clash against Leeds United but was made to wait until January to make his second league appearance of the season.

Having fallen down the pecking order of manager Erol Bulut, Rinomhota is now set to join Rotherham at the foot of the Championship table.

The Yorkshire club have won just three league games this season and are already nine points from safety.

Provided his deal is completed with no complications, Rinomhota should be in line to start for The Millers in their upcoming league clash against Southampton on Saturday.
