Sources: Cardiff City winger Murphy agrees to join Preston North End
Cardiff City winger Josh Murphy has agreed to join Preston North End on loan, Football Insider understands.
This site revealed (31st August) the Welsh outfit had received a multitude of loan offers for the 26-year-old ahead of the transfer deadline.
A Preston source has told Football Insider the two clubs have agreed on a season-long loan deal for the former Norwich City star.

The move will reunite Murphy with newly-promoted Preston boss Frankie McAvoy.
The 54-year-old was a first-team coach under Alex Neil during the winger’s time at Norwich City.
McAvoy took over as interim boss at Preston in March following Neil’s dismissal.
He was appointed permanent manager in May after winning five of his eight games in charge.
As detailed by this site, Murphy is not currently in Cardiff boss Mick McCarthy’s plans despite featuring regularly upon the former Wolves man’s arrival.
The left-sided attacker has not featured in any of the Bluebirds’ opening five league games.
He has however played in the club’s two League Cup fixtures against Sutton United and Brighton.
He scored in the 3-2 win over the League Two outfit in his 12-minute cameo as a substitute.
Murphy joined Cardiff from Norwich City in the summer of 2018.
He has made a total of 99 appearances across all competitions to date.
The versatile winger is now set to join a Preston side sitting 16th in the Championship.
McAvoy’s men have won two and last three of their opening fixtures this term.
They will return to action after the international break with a trip to 11th-placed Bristol City.
