Sources: Celtic fear Postecoglou has already decided to join Premier League club

Celtic fear manager Ange Postecoglou has already made up his mind on joining an elite Premier League side this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Australian, 57, has impressed top-flight teams south of the border with his incredible transformation of the Hoops in the last two seasons.

He is on the wanted list of many clubs looking to change managers in the off-season, including Tottenham and Leeds United.

Postecoglou‘s superb knowledge of the Japanese and Asian markets has also been a factor in impressing Premier League clubs.

He has helped bring fan favourites like Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda to Parkhead.

The likes of Cameron Carter-Vickers, Jota, Joe Hart and Matt O’Riley have also joined the Hoops on Postecoglou’s watch.

Celtic are not well-protected from a potential Premier League raid for their highly popular manager.

The former Yokohama F. Marinos boss is still on the 12-month rolling contract he signed when he arrived in Glasgow in 2021.

Sources with knowledge of the situation have told Football Insider that Celtic chiefs fear Postecoglou has already decided that his future lies in England – and they won’t be able to stop him from leaving.

The Hoops are close to wrapping up a domestic treble this season – with Scottish Premiership triumph confirmed if they beat Hearts on Sunday (7 May).
