Sources: Chelsea eye move to re-sign 25-yr-old with same agent as Kai Havertz
Chelsea are weighing up a move to bring Roma striker Tammy Abraham back to the club this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed that the Blues are also considering signing Napoli’s Victor Osimhen but are aware it would take a huge fee to secure his signature.
Sources have told Football Insider that Chelsea are “desperate” for a new out-and-out striker this summer – but no progress has yet been made in negotiations.
This site revealed on 14 February that Romelu Lukaku will not return to Stamford Bridge next summer as Inter Milan plot another loan next season.
Abraham is represented by ROOF – the same agent as current Chelsea forward Kai Havertz.
According to Fabrizio Romano (via CaughtOffside, 28 September 2022), the Blues have a £70.5million option to bring their former striker back to the club.

The buy-back clause becomes active in the summer window – two years after Abraham’s initial exit to Roma.
He has notched seven goals and five assists in 32 appearances as a key man for Jose Mourinho’s side this season.
Abraham enjoyed a more fruitful 2021-22 campaign – scoring 27 times as Roma won the Europa Conference League.
Back in England, his most prolific Premier League campaign came under Frank Lampard at Chelsea.
He scored 15 goals and registered four assists in 34 top-flight appearances as the Blues’ main striker during the 2019-20 season.
No player has managed to repeat that feat in the three seasons which have followed, with top scorer Havertz scoring just five league goals so far this season.
Abraham’s Roma contract runs until June 2026.
Chelsea may not be able to offer European football to any potential new striker.
The Blues are now 14 points adrift of the Premier League’s top four after their 2-0 loss away at Tottenham on Sunday (26 February).
